Viagra

Viagra, also known as ‘the blue pill’, Vitamin V, Kamagra or Revatio is used to treat erectile dysfunction or impotence (when you find it hard to get and sustain an erection).

It works by increasing the blood flow to your cock, which helps guys achieve a strong and long-lasting erection. However, you need to be turned on for it to work. Other drugs such as Cialis and Levitra have similar effects. Increasingly, Viagra is being used as a recreational drug in sex clubs, saunas and sex parties.  A lot of guys who use chems also use Viagra to counteract the erection difficulties caused by them.

Taking It

Viagra comes in 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg doses and often in the form of a hard, blue pill. It can take up 30 minutes before Viagra starts to work, although this can be longer if eaten after food with high fat content. You should not take Viagra more than once a day.

Sex on Viagra

Guys use Viagra recreationally to have longer sex sessions. This is often with multiple partners. Viagra also gives the ability to recover quickly after cumming. Sometimes Viagra is used with party drugs, such as ecstasy, which can reduce your ability to have an erection. A mixture of Viagra and ecstasy, called ‘sextasy, gives the feeling of warmth and closeness with others alongside the ability to achieve a hard-on.

Downsides

Initial short-term effects include headaches, hot flushes, blurred vision, upset stomach and muscle aches. Viagra works by dilating blood vessels and so can be dangerous if you have a heart condition as it could result in heart failure. Using Viagra alongside poppers, or other nitrate-based drugs is dangerous as your blood pressure could be lowered to a fatal level. Used with cocaine, crystal meth and speed, Viagra can put extra pressure on your heart.

Using sextasy (combination of Viagra and ecstasy) can result in a hard-on that will not go down. If your erection lasts for more than 4 hours and your cock is painful then you need to seek medical attention or long-term damage to your cock may occur. Sextasy can also impair your judgment and lead you to engage in sexually risky situations that you would not normally feel uncomfortable with. Taking Viagra with ecstasy can increase the adverse effects of ecstasy including dehydration and high blood pressure, which can be a dangerous combination.

Viagra and HIV Medication

Some HIV drugs (protease inhibitors) can have negative interactions with Viagra. It is important that you discuss this with your HIV consultant.
