Recently Diagnosed

An HIV diagnosis can bring with it a whole range of emotions. You might feel upset, shocked, overwhelmed, worried or angry.

With the stigma and discrimination that still surrounds HIV, you might be struggling to take it all in and there might be lots of questions about what it means for your health, your relationships and your sex life.

All of these responses are very normal but, whatever your situation, it’s important not to panic. HIV treatments have improved significantly in recent years and, with early diagnosis, people with HIV can live long and healthy lives.

We provide a range of services from counselling to one-to-one, peer and group support that can give you a safe place to talk. We can also help you access specialist HIV support services through Waverley Care.

If you have recently been diagnosed with HIV, and are looking for support, you can get in touch to chat about how we can help.
