Bottoms Up: The Podcast

We have created a series of podcasts written by gay and bisexual men, and all men who have sex with men, who have had challenging experiences with alcohol during their life.

By creating the podcasts we hope that listeners, who also may have issues with alcohol, will be able to relate to the events and experiences that the writers have been through. Alcohol affects many of us in different ways, but we are not alone. Our common struggles can connect us and provide hope to overcome difficult experiences.

This series of podcasts are read by the actor, and friend of SX, David Mahoney. David brings to the Bottoms Up project decades of acting experience and a very personal interpretation of our contributors’ writing. We are also very privileged to have permission to use music created by the musician Haftor Medbøe to accompany the readings.
