Volunteers play a huge part in our work. By volunteering your time, you can help improve the sexual health and wellbeing of gay, bisexual, and all men who have sex with men in Scotland.
We want you to get the most out of your volunteer experience. We provide full training, social events, and regular support and supervision to all our volunteers.

Responsible to: SX Team and Volunteer Lead (Collett O'Connor)
Location: Locations across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Forth Valley. Travel expenses can be agreed upon and covered.
Time Commitment: Opportunities monthly. Events will range from a couple hours to a full day.
The role of Community Outreach Volunteer consists of supporting our various outreach sessions at events, venues, testing clinics, and more. You will help with information stalls where we promote our services, signpost to partner organisations, and have great chats about sexual health.
As part of working with vulnerable adults at Waverley Care, you must apply to the PVG scheme. This involves a criminal record check, which is then shared with the organisation. Please note: Having a criminal record will not automatically prevent you from volunteering.

This includes researching and contacting social groups, sports clubs, club nights, or anything else that might be relevant to our community.
